My daughter, son-in law and my 4 grandchildren were looking forward to your event. Needless to say we were very disappointed upon arrival Sat. 12/15 to find no train rides, no hay rides, no Santa or Mrs Claus and no carousel rides. We did get to see the trees and buildings but can't understand what happened to the other events. Snow? I thought that was what winter was all about. I'm sure there were a lot of disappointed people -especially those you traveled a long distance (like us).

I have been doing this with my grandchildren for the past 5 years. My 11 year old grandson still asks when we will decorate our tree and go ride the train and carousel. This event is spectacular!!! Thanks...

We have enjoyed going to this event for the last 4 years. We love the lights and the carousel. This year we decided to also go on the train ride. Sadly, it really was the low point of the evening. I have no problem having Christmas cheer but if I knew I had to wait for 30 minutes with a 5 yr old and get cut in line (there WAS no line!) over and over again, I wouldn't have made that choice. The train ride was not worth that. More organization would have solved the problem and made everyone's attitude much better. Otherwise everything was wonderful.

I had to write and let you know what a wonderful idea this is. It brings back memories of when we were kids. We would drive through the park to see the lights and go ice skating on the pond afterwards. I'm so glad that some traditions stand the test of time.

Good job.

I think this is one of the best displays I have ever been to. My friend has been honoring her husband's memory with a decorated tree. I think it is a great tradition that should carry on for years to come.

I am from Rhode Island and i love the Ocean and the Quahogs they have up there. I will forever miss the Ocean and the best fishing on Narragansett Beach. I was born in Rhode Island and when i was a child i use to live on Hazard Ave in Oakland Beach in Warwick and i can remember all the fun my sister and i had in the snow. I will treasure those days forever. I miss Rhode Island but i now live in Shreveport Louisiana. My heart will always live in Rhode Island.

I want to thank all of the volunteers and the people behind this idea. My father passed almost 4 years ago and I find it more comforting to go and stand by the tree I decorated in his memory than to go to the cemetary. It is a nice feelings and a beautiful way to remember him. Although I was a bit dissapointed at the appearances and sizes of the trees this year it is a great place. My daughter just loved it and hugged the tree. Winter Wonderland is beautiful. Keep up the good work.

It was nice to meet you and chat yesterday at the Tall Ships/RI Economic Development booth! I hope that we will be able to work together and have a wonderful Christmas season! Your events look like a lot of fun! They would really compliment some of our Christmas shows like Garfield Christmas, The Nutcracker, and Kenny Rogers Christmas! What a fabulous idea! Just wish I were in the north to visit and enjoy Pawtucket's Winter Wonderland. Maybe one Christmas I'll get up your way and check this out for myself. Hollywood, Florida sends you greetings and wishes you well and invites you to our Candy Cane Parade on the
Broadwalk along the Ocean and to OceanDance. Best wishes!

What a wonderful idea! Wish we could do that in my community. Everyone involved, especially the two women who had this idea originally, are to commended for the wonderful effort put forth to bring beautiful and affordable activities to families in your area. I look forward to visiting your community some year in the future to see the Winter Wonderland in person.

I just discovered your site on the internet. It harkens back fantastic memories of the park in the 50's and 60's when the park was decorated for Christmas and we all would come and drive through the park to enjoy the decorations and then go skating on the pond. Thanks for keeping the tradition going and expanding it to be such a lovely community building event. I live in Pennsylvania now.

We live in Attleboro, MA--right down the street from LaSallete. We have a 2 year old and brought him to your Winter Wonderland last year and will come again this year. LaSallete is great, but your display is perfect for the preschool crowd. He was mesmerized by EVERYTHING and it was all just his size. Thank you for Winter Wonderland!!

Hi, The directions to the park are fine, but the map shows 95 and 2A instead of 1A. It may confuse some out-of-towners.
